I love Ann's writing, so enjoyed the series ahead of this one, didn't want it to end. But this first book in the Mother's of Glendale I found to be peat and repeat, just so much of going over the same things over and over. I realize we do that in our minds but this is a book and I read that for enjoyment. I found myself skipping over much of this, what she was wearing, her getting dressed, I mean there were several of those scenes in the book that I found to be boring. I will read the rest of the series and I am hoping those two books will be better than this one. From the other reviews, I guess this could just be me but that is what reviews are for. Looking forward to the next book to take a look see if they are alike. BJProduct details

It's been hard to find books that capture my attention, but after reading the first Glendale series books, the mothers of Glendale were a great continuation.. Great insight and wisdom in these books. The author is a wonderful writer!
I was very touched by this story of how Jari, reconsidled with her mother and father to make amends to their relationship. She was a very courageous for doing so and I am glad that things worked out. I would recommend this book. Love the continuation of Joe and Jessi's life too. Great story.
A little slow at first, but it gripped me deeply a little further into the book. Very deep and insightful book on miscarriage and other trauma like a broken marriage of your parents.....it helped me look at some of the issues myself and find healing in the pages...

What a honest and heartwarming look at life and the power of faith in times of need.
Ms. Goering has a gift for her character development and for choosing high interest topics we can all relate to. Thanks for the blessing this series was...I enjoyed it through the last page and wanted more...
Jari's story is so powerful. It highlights God's goodness and mercy. There's so many Jari's that we encounter everyday. I like the message of the story that the author trying to convey to the reader.No matter how broken you are there's always hope. One book that is highly recommended to anybody. I cannot put it down. I feel the presence of God as I read this book. The author is very effective in putting the story line together why Jari is such a compassionate, loving, and forgiving wife, friend and daughter. Thumbs up to the author.
So much explained in this book. Gives a new perspective on Jeri, who I learned to like in A New Day, but came to adore in this book. It also gives more of Joe & Jessi's story, which I love, because a lot of author's end a couple's story when the couple gets married. Would have loved more on Joe and Jessi, but Ann gives you enough to be satisfied and a good view of the couple's life after marriage. Also learned to appreciate and even kind of like Bill in this book. He's a hard character to love, but once He knows Christ (in A New Day) he's a changed man and really shows the difference in his character in this book.
Special time for a mother and daughter to spend together . They had not done that because of divorce of her parents. Carla, her mom had met a nice man and remarried.n Jessica decided she needed to visit them. A great story.
